WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP?
Brisa Aesthetics offers microneedling, a treatment that punctures tiny holes in the skin on your face, neck, or chest to stimulate skin restoration. As an added bonus, your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be administered to the same area to further help tissue heal and permit the skin to begin growing new cells. Both of these procedures, when used together, can lessen the appearance of scars, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, and other skin issues.
The texture of your skin may be significantly improved to appear smoother and more even in tone without damaging the epidermis. If you’d like to learn more about microneedling with PRP or how your procedure can be improved with additional services, like Sculptra® treatments, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation with Nurse Practitioner Briana Torrey at her office in Weymouth, MA.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP?
Microneedling is a leading option to rejuvenate the complexion in only a single appointment. Adding platelet-rich plasma offers patients the option to enhance their results even further. Many individuals at Brisa Aesthetics boast several advantages from microneedling with platelet-rich plasma, including:
- Less recovery time compared to microneedling alone
- PRP improves collagen and elastin production down below the skin surface for ideal results
- Outcomes stay for a year or more
- Safe for virtually all skin types
- Targets several concerns simultaneously, such as wrinkles and fine lines, skin texture concerns, age spots, uneven skin color, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and others
IS MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP RIGHT FOR ME?
A great candidate for microneedling with PRP would be anyone looking to alter the look or feel of the surface of their face. Dry skin, uneven skin tone, coarse texture, age spots, loose skin, wrinkles, acne, and scarring are all skin conditions that could benefit from a microneedling with PRP treatment. This procedure may also be utilized to help combat the effects of sun damage that may have caused your skin to have a rough feel or hyperpigmentation.
HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP WORK?
Before the microneedling part of your treatment, someone from our team will take a sample of your blood for your PRP collection. The drawn blood will then be taken for the separation process where the stem cells, platelets, and growth factors will be made into PRP. For your microneedling therapy, Brisa Aesthetics employs modern technology to make small holes in your skin. The little needles used won’t harm your skin but instead will help stimulate the production of collagen. When the microneedling is finished, the PRP serum will be applied to the skin to sink in. Once the PRP is fully absorbed, we’ll remove the serum and cleanse your skin.
