What is platelet-rich fibrin?
PRF is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. The sample is centrifuged so selected blood components can be separated and collected for treatment.
The resulting concentrate contains platelets within a fibrin-rich environment. Platelets contain signaling proteins that are involved in normal tissue-repair processes, which is why platelet concentrates continue to be investigated in regenerative medicine and aesthetic applications.
The EZPRF system used in the manufacturer materials is designed around low-speed centrifugation and additive-free collection tubes, allowing PRF to be prepared without adding an anticoagulant.
PRF is autologous, meaning the material being prepared for treatment originates from your own blood.
